About Us

Mission Statement

Fulton County Schools PD PAL

The Fulton County Schools Police Department- Police Activities League

The Fulton County Schools Police Activities League (PAL) is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to reach their full potential. By fostering collaboration between law enforcement and the community, we aim to enhance the lives of young individuals through athletics and enrichment programs. Our focus is to promote confidence, self-esteem, academic achievement, and social development, with the ultimate goal of helping students become responsible and productive citizens.

Our summer program will support 10-15 students, ages 11-14, who will participate in activities such as flag football and basketball. These leagues will not only provide an opportunity for students to stay active, but also help instill positive values through teamwork, discipline, and respect. We believe that by participating in such activities, students will experience improved educational outcomes and an increased sense of belonging in their communities.

The primary objective of the PAL program is to guide at-risk youth towards becoming productive citizens by involving them in enjoyable, community-based activities. We have seen that students who engage in these enrichment opportunities tend to experience enhanced scholastic achievement and personal growth.

Program Overview

Program Structure:
This summer program will consist of two 1-week camps (depending on personnel and participant numbers). Each camp will pair youth participants with Fulton County Schools Police Officers, who will mentor and guide them throughout the athletic activities. In addition to sports activities, officers will engage with students in conversations designed to promote trust, teamwork, and positive social behavior.

Collaborative Effort:
The PAL program is a cooperative initiative that involves the combined efforts of the Fulton County Schools Police Department, various district stakeholders, a dedicated Board of Directors, local businesses, and the community at large. Funding for the program is managed by our fiscal agent, the Fulton Education Foundation (a 501(c)(3) organization), in partnership with the Fulton County School District.

We are excited about the potential impact of this program and its ability to create positive, lasting change in the lives of participating students. We look forward to the opportunity to further support these young individuals in their academic, personal, and social development.
